Leadership for Mercury World Cargo

zack v. Zack Vernikovsky, Executive Vice President & General Manager

Zack Vernikovsky has over 40 years of experience in the aviation industry. He joined Mercury Air Group in 1985 as a Cargo Handling Supervisor at Mercury’s Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) warehouse. He then quickly moved up in the ranks as a Cargo Manager. At that time, he and Joe Czyzyk, who was then President of Mercury Air Cargo, revolutionized cargo space brokerage services by buying capacity from airlines and reselling to freight forwarders and shippers.

In 1991, Zack then developed Hermes Aviation, which distinguished itself in the marketing and sales of air cargo products for airlines. From 2002 to 2004, he organized and managed sales and operations domestically for Cargo Air Lines Limited (CAL), an Israeli all-cargo airlines. Simultaneously, Zack took over Mercury World Cargo, an air cargo carrier, establishing sales offices, general sales agents and interline agreements worldwide.
