Continued Expansion with Jim Benepe on Board

Mercury FuelsMercFuel Sales Representative Jim Benepe has leveraged existing relationships from his many years in the industry, as well as new relationships, to support the company’s plans for expansion over the past seven months.

During his time at another company, Jim met Joe and worked with Rob Whitworth and Homan Asiri.

“I’m so glad the opportunity to work for MercFuel came along when it did. I’m enjoying the culture and relationships I have with everyone in the company,” says Jim.

In October 2025, while only in his position for a few weeks, Jim attended the NBAA -BACE
Trade show in Las Vegas.

“It was good to get out and re-establish relationships from my previous work in the industry,” says Jim.

Jim has spent the past few months learning MercFuel’s client base and fuel supply, while reaching out to clients and informing them of favorable locations to purchase fuel.

In March he attended NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers with Jason Bergstrom - MercFuel Executive Vice President.  The conference is focused on general aviation, and Jim hasn’t participated in the event for three years. He enjoyed the opportunity to renew previous relationships and cultivate existing MercFuel clients and FBO partners in person.

Jim is using these relationships, as well as his intimate knowledge of suppliers, to help the company expand fuel opportunities in Canada, the UK, and Europe where they are VAT registered.  Additionally, as business presents itself, Mercury will possibly register in France, Spain, and other EU countries.
