Maytag Aircraft operates air terminal & ground handling services (ATGHS) for the US Air Force and US Transportation Command in Central and South america (CASA). Maytag was recently awarded a four year contract for the entire operation in Central & South America including locations: Caracas, Venezuela; Bogotá, Colombia; Panama City, Panama; Belize City, Belize; La Paz, Bolivia; and Kingston, Jamaica. These contracts are responsible for handling all cargo and passengers in support of the respective embassies and MILGRP in each country. Maytag is the first and only contractor to hold the entire complement of locations in Central and South America providing Air Terminal & Ground Handling Services. “Although the footprint in the theater has shrunk due to defense cuts, we were optimistic for growth and additional business through being the only contractor providing these services to the US military in Central and South America,” said David Nelson, President and COO of Maytag Aircraft Corporation.
