Mercury Air Cargo Diversifies into Electronic Retailing Market, Sorting and Handling Packages for Amazon.com

Mercury Air CargoSince March 2014, Mercury Air Cargo has diversified its services into the electronic retailing market, an industry that is expected to reach over $300 billion in 2016 in the U.S. alone. Partnering with International Bridge, Mercury unloads containers filled with amazon.com packages heading for Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico. Packages get scanned through TSA, sorted, and delivered to such domestic carriers as Alaska Airlines, Pacific Air, DHL and Hawaiian Airlines. This unique and highly-efficient process that Mercury implements expedites the amazon.com delivery process, allowing packages to go from distribution center to end-consumer within 3 days for those regions. Mercury’s success is also illustrated in it’s 99.99% accuracy rate for over 20,000 packages per month.

For future business, Mercury Air Cargo is in negotiations with International Bridge, Apex Logistics, and Alibaba to extend their services for delivery to Mexico and China, and beyond.

We are very proud of our partnership with International Bridge and look forward to many years of growing our relationship” said John E. Peery, Executive Vice President of Mercury Air Cargo.
