Mercury CEO Meets Homeland Security Secretary
4/12/2009
Joseph A. Czyzyk, Chairman & CEO of Mercury Air Group, Inc., joined a small roundtable discussion with U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano on Monday, April 13, 2009 at Los Angeles International Airport. Czyzyk is pictured (lower left) speaking to Napolitano (upper right) as various Los Angeles elected officials look on. Czyzyk discussed Mercury’s efforts as the TSA’s first Independent Cargo Screen Facility in the nation and he also responded to specific questions posed by the Secretary.
“Secretary Napolitano asked a number of good questions regarding the issues confronting LAX and air commerce overall. I am always impressed to see a Cabinet Secretary that has a genuine interest in getting first hand information. I was also pleased to be able to provide her with my commendation of the TSA officials Mercury has worked with in our successful joint efforts,” said Czyzyk.
