Joseph A. Czyzyk, Chairman & CEO of Mercury Air Group, Inc. and the former Chairman of the Board of the LA Area Chamber of Commerce hosted members of the U.S. House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee for a tour of Mercury Air Cargo's 200,000 square foot air cargo warehouse at Los Angeles International Airport on Tuesday, May 28, 2013. Czyzyk provided the members of Congress with a tour of the first on-airport Independent Cargo Security Screening facility in the U.S. along with the largest on-airport perishable refrigeration center on the West Coast—both operated by Mercury. Prior to the tour, Los Angeles World Airports Executive Director Gina Marie Lindsey and Czyzyk briefed the Committee members on the status of air freight commerce at LAX and LA/ONT airports during a meeting at LAWA headquarters.
