Seizing Opportunities

GSA Force LogoWhere many saw a problem, the leadership team at GSA Force saw an opportunity and jumped on it.

In August 2021, the Argentinian government greatly reduced the number of people who could enter the country as part of their COVID response. This made it very tough on most airlines which had to stop flying.

According to Commercial Director Matias Montenegro, “When everyone saw something wrong, we saw a little light.”

The opportunity was to move cargo into Argentina by offering charters one time per week. GSA Force uses a Passenger Airbus 330 now empty of passengers but full of cargo.

GSA Force began contacting all their clients and the clients viewed it as an exceptionally good deal.

“We started with one charter flight per week moving freight from Miami to Buenos Aires. We then moved forward by operating twice and three times per week and moving freight from different origins such as Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, and other stations that acted as feeders for our flights,” says Montenegro.

The future looks good. GSA Force plans to continue this operation for the rest of the year, with the possibility of adding more stops in Argentina.
